Hermione stood staring out a frosted window. The snow had started falling last night, creating too great a temptation for two members of her family.
Rose, her tongue peeking out as she concentrated on staying on her feet, was holding on tightly to her daddy's hand, but, as invariably happened, Rose didn't stay upright for long, plopping down in the snow.
For a moment Hermione thought tears would follow, but instead Rose just looked up at Ron in confusion.
Hermione smiled, as a laughing Ron distracted their daughter by teaching her the joys of snow angels.
She really loved Christmas.
