A/N: This is a follow-up to 'Business as Usual', please read that first. I think rodlox, who wanted a 'Alexis Castle saves the day' drabble, has tricked me into writing a series...
Alexis hadn't been sitting at her desk 2 minutes when Jerry walked up to her. "Oh, thank God you're here, Lexi."
"This better be good, Jerry. I had to cancel plans with my dad to be here."
"How is Rick doing?"
"Still willing to hire someone to take you out."
"Well, at least if I end up dead they'll have a chief suspect."
"Jerry, my dad is very far down on the list of people who want to kill you. For example, I'm much further up there. Why am I here?"
"The police finally made an arrest on the 'prima killer'."
Now Alexis was paying attention. "Seriously?"
"I don't think anyone else has it yet, but you need to get down there. The cops have chewed up and spit out every other reporter I've sent down there."
Grabbing her jacket and bag, she was already rushing out the door.
"Lexi, you're my hero!" He ignored the knowing looks he received and went back to work.
